A CRUCIAL DECADE OF DECISION HAS BEGUN
During the last several months in prayer, God has directed us to begin a Marketplace initiative for the 2010 Decade that can affect all of Central Florida in the months ahead.
We are continually drawn to a place of prayer for the Christian Chamber of Commerce and its business members, because this is part of God’s call on our lives. We have been called, like many of you, to take our strategic place on the wall as Watchmen (those who watch and pray) over this city and region (Central Florida).
Our new unfolding assignment for 2010 and 2011 is to begin a series of training sessions to equip business men and women to actively and intentionally fulfill the 7 Mountain Mandate for Central Florida.
WHAT IS THE 7 MOUNTAIN MANDATE: a reminder
The 7 Mountain Mandate is a God-given revelation, initially given to Bill Bright of Campus Crusade for Christ, Loren Cunningham of Youth With A Mission (YWAM), and Francis Schaffer of L’Abri Fellowship. The revelation basically identified the 7 spheres of influence that exist in any culture or nation and reveals that whoever has the greatest influence at the top of those mountains could guide or direct the culture of that entire Mountain. The 7 Mountains of Influence include: 1. Arts and Entertainment, 2. Business, 3. Education, 4. Family, 5. Government, 6. Media, and 7. Religion. The 7 Mountains are often referred to as Mind Molders or Mountains of Influence. It provides a simple word picture to help us grasp the level of influence a small handful of people can exert over an entire culture or nation.
Reclaiming the 7 Mountains Begins Febuary 9, 2010
All these mountains exert influence in our culture and are presently setting the tone for our nation. Each mountain is generally controlled by a few individuals at the top. They exert such a level of influence that the vast majority of people follow their lead and hence the culture in that mountain is shaped by the mind molders, thinkers, or leaders of those mountains.
Now you can see why God opened our understanding of this issue through Godly men like Bill Bright years ago. We are only now, seriously and intentionally, engaging in a concerted effort to RECLAIM these 7 Mountains of Influence.
A BLUEPRINT FOR GREATER ORLANDO UNFOLDS TUESDAY, FEB 9TH
We specifically recognize that God is unfolding a blueprint for Central Florida. We are praying for more than a visit or refreshing from God. We want to embrace Him through prayer so much, that we create a habitation for Him in Central Florida and in every aspect of our lives – personally, our families, businesses, and our Community.
A FREE catered lunch will be graciously provided by Chick-Fil-A as part of their support of Godly initiatives in The Greater Orlando area. (What an example of a family-owned business using their resources to further the Kingdom.)

Training will consist of 6 sessions on Effective Prayer Strategies and 6 sessions on Reclaiming Mountain Strategies. Handouts and reading material will be provided but bring your Bible (Mountain Taking Manual) and notebook.
